Manning filming taking place during Easter holidays

Lights, Camera …Action! The Manning script is completed and we have scheduled two days during the Easter holidays at the Galleries of Justice in Nottingham to shoot the film. A group of young people from Manning School will be working with a professional crew and cast to make the film – they aren’t the same group who wrote the script which will be an interesting dynamic.

We are really excited as this is the first script from the project that is being shot. We’ll let you know how it went and hopefully upload some photographs from the set.

Manning screenwriting sessions take place

Screenwriter Jamie Rhodes has been working with Manning Comprehensive School for Girls on a script based on the Alan Gibbons story Home Alone from his Dark Spaces book of short stories. They have been working during lesson time linked to their literacy curriculum work.

We will upload their script onto the showcase page when it is completed!
